About Chinagar Betta:
Chinagar Betta is a mountain in Tumkur and has an elevation of 1,213 metres. Chinagar Betta is situated southeast of Dēvarhalli, close to Chinnagara Betta.
Ranganathaswamy temple located at around 950 meters of elevation and will be the starting point of the trek after blessings from lord Ranganathaswamy.
Overall trek is of moderate difficulty and involves stone and muddy hill terrain with some steep elevation. Standard trekking accessories like good grip trekking shoes, Trekking walk sticks will help. At the summit place one has climb the big boulders and this require rope support which will make it easy. The rock also has some notches craved-out to help.
PS: This place comes under the DD RESERVE FOREST. Forest officials stopped us (just before the temple place) and said we have to take permission as this is the new rule and online one can take the permission. We have to pay Rs 250/- per person (No receipt!). Please check this out before you head to this place. Trek length is around 3-4 KM,
